Course 1 this weekend!

If you want to join Pierce County Explorer Search and Rescue, now is the time! Course 1 of our training program is this weekend. (It will be offered again November 21-22 if you can't make it this weekend.)

The course will be held at
Buckley Fire Station
611 South Division St
Buckley, WA

Please arrive between 7:00 and 7:30 on Saturday to begin filling out registration paperwork. (If you're under 18, bring a parent for this part.) Please bring $105 (cash or check) for the training fee. This covers a compass accurate to 2 degrees, materials for the training, and your first year of ESAR membership dues. Also bring copies of your certificates of completion for NIMS IS700.a, NIMS IS100.b, and NIMS IS200.b (more information about these at https://pcesar.org/join). Most of the training will be classroom, but please dress for the weather for the outdoor portion of the training. Pack a lunch, or if you drive there are a few fast food options nearby. We will be done around 4:30 pm, then meet again at 8:00 am Sunday morning.

Still haven't been to an orientation? No problem, we'd still love to have you at Course 1 this weekend. There's also one more orientation: Monday, November 9th, 7pm at the Pierce County Library in Sumner.
