South Hill orientation on Wednesday

Pierce County Explorer Search and Rescue (PCESAR) training starts soon! If you would like to learn more about what it's like to be part of search and rescue, there are still a few orientations offered this year. We’ll talk about what SAR is like, what the training entails, what gear you need, and get you set up to start training at Course 1 in November.

Visit us at your local library for an orientation! Orientations will be held at the following times and places:

  • 9/10 – Graham Library 7-8:30pm
  • 9/17 – Fife Library 7-8pm
  • 9/26 – South Hill Library 7-8:30
  • 10/2 – Gig Harbor Library 7-8:30
  • 10/10 – Bonney Lake Library 7-8
  • 10/16 – University Place Library 7-8:30

We've published the full training calendar at http://pcesar.org/calendar. The initial training program consists of Course 1 (a or b), First Aid, Course 2 (a or b), Course 3 (a or b), and Course 4. Save the dates now!

Anyone 14 years old or older may participate in the training to become a certified brush monkey for Explorer Search and Rescue!
